Spice Root, at 23 Spring Street, (413) 458-5200, serves dishes from Bombay, like shrimp pineapple -- shrimp cooked in a coconut sauce with pineapple, eggplant and carrots in a sambal-flavored sauce. Dinner for two with wine or Indian beer is about $40. Lunch and dinner daily.
